Christopher Park
The Heart of Stonewall National Monument
Christopher Park lies at the heart of Stonewall National Monument in New York City’s Greenwich Village. The park and surrounding streets witnessed the historic Stonewall uprising of 1969, a pivotal moment in the movement for LGBTQ+ civil rights. Today, Christopher Park Alliance works in partnership with the National Park Service to care for the park’s gardens and help ensure this extraordinary historic landscape remains welcoming and beautiful.
